Becoming a Christian is actually not complicated!
A "Christian" is simply someone who follows Jesus
Christ, in everything Jesus said and did. The single most important thing that he did, was to die for you so that you don't have to, then to raise himself from the dead again 3 days later, coming back to life, proving that he can do the same for you.
If you truly believe that, along with everything that it involves, and you openly admit it, as well as making the changes in your life that Jesus mentions, then you are a Christian.
It's that simple! It's even written in the Bible, exactly like that, in the book called "Romans", verses 9 and 10 of chapter 10:
`If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.'
If that's what you want, then "becoming a Christian" is as simple as just telling Jesus that you want to, that you trust him completely, and truly believing in him.
You can do that any time you want, by just praying to him, in your own words, declaring that you want him to be the lord of your life from now on, instead of you being your own lord. Tell him you are truly and deeply sorry for all the bad things you have done in your life, tell him that you want to turn things around completely and start a new life, where he is in control, and start doing things right, the way he wants you to do them. Ask him to forgive you for all those bad things, and to take control of your life from now on. Tell him that you accept his free gift of salvation, that you recognize the fact that he raised himself from the dead, and trust him completely to do the same for you when you die one day. Thank him for the gift, and ask him to come into your life and take over. Then spend a little time praising him for this incredible gift he has given you.
Once you have become a Christian, you should also start studying the Bible so you can find out more about Jesus and what he expects of you. You should also find a local church in your area that is truly Christian, or if there isn't a good one near your, then find an on-line church.
If you did that sincerely, then: Welcome to the family of Christ!
